How do I send a payment using MoveMoney?

It only takes a few seconds to create an account and send your first payment.

Step 1: Fund your wallet by $0 Fee Cash Deposit or Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit.

Step 2: Transfer funds by entering the mobile phone # for your recipient and tap send.

If the recipient hasn't joined MoveMoney yet, you can copy and paste the payment link provided so they know the payment is coming directly from you.

Step 3: Withdraw MXN instantly to any bank in Mexico or Mercado Pago® or Spin by Oxxo® accounts by entering the CLABE number.

How can recipients use MoveMoney?

Recipients in the U.S. can use MoveMoney for sending and receiving person-to-person payments. Withdrawals are only available via Mexican bank accounts.

Recipients in Mexico can use MoveMoney for sending and receiving person-to-person payments or can withdraw in three ways:

1. To a bank account. They can withdraw instantly to a bank account and get cash from an ATM.

2. To a Spin by Oxxo® account. They can withdraw instantly to a Spin by Oxxo® account and pick up cash or use their balance anywhere Spin by Oxxo® is accepted.

3. To a MercadoPago® account. They can withdraw instantly to a MercadoPago® account and pick up cash or use their balance anywhere MercadoPago® is accepted.

How can I withdraw to my bank account?

In order to send money to your bank account in Mexico (CLABE) you have to follow these steps:
1. In the MoveMoney app go to "Send" -> "My Bank in Mexico."
2. Select "Add Bank" and add your CLABE number and set a name for it.
3. Input the amount and select "Continue."
4. You'll get a summary of the transaction you are about to execute. Select "Convert and Withdraw" and you'll receive MXN instantly in your bank account.

How can I withdraw to my Spin by Oxxo® account?

In order to send money to your Spin by Oxxo® account you have to follow these steps:
1. Log in to your Spin by Oxxo® app.
2. Click on "Add Money."
3. Select "By Transfer."
4. Find your CLABE and copy it.
5. In the MoveMoney app go to "Send" -> "My Bank in Mexico."
6. Select "Add Bank" and add your CLABE number and set a name for it.
7. Input the amount and select "Continue."
8. You'll get a summary of the transaction you are about to execute. Select "Convert and Withdraw" and you'll receive MXN instantly in your Spin by Oxxo® account.

How can I withdraw to my MercadoPago® account?

In order to send money to your MercadoPago® account you have to follow these steps:
1. Go to: https://www.mercadopago.com.mx/account-fund/clabe
2. Copy your CLABE number.
3. In the MoveMoney app go to "Send" -> "My Bank in Mexico."
4. Select "Add Bank" and add your CLABE number and set a name for it.
5. Input the amount and select "Continue."
6. You'll get a summary of the transaction you are about to execute. Select "Convert and Withdraw" and you'll receive MXN instantly in your MercadoPago® account.

What are the MoveMoney $0 Fee Cash Deposit limits?

If you have only completed basic identity verification, you will have a weekly $0 Fee Cash Deposit limit of $300 USD.

How often can I make transfers?

You can make unlimited instant transfers to anyone in the U.S. and Mexico 24/7/365.

How long can I hold a balance on MoveMoney?

You can hold a balance on MoveMoney indefinitely. USD deposits are held for safekeeping at Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust, Member FDIC.

What do I do if I send funds to the wrong person?

Transactions are irreversible. Please verify your recipient before making a transfer and carefully check all transaction details prior to finalizing the send. MoveMoney is not liable for funds sent to incorrect recipients. See our Terms of Use for more information.

What happens if my transaction doesn't go through or is listed as pending?

An incomplete transfer could occur for a variety of reasons. Please reach out to hello@movemoney.com for a member of our team to assist you.

Are my funds safe?

Yes! Your mobile phone number, which is accessible through your device’s biometrics or personal pin, acts as your MoveMoney wallet. You are the only one with control over your wallet and the contents of your wallet. See our Terms of Use for more information.
